1. Papaya
Papayas, especially the unripe and semi ripe ones are rich in latex which is known to trigger uterine contractions leading to early labour or miscarriage
2. Pineapple
Pineapples are rich in bromelanin which can cause softening of the cervix which may induce early labour
3. Grapes
Eating grapes during pregnancy is shrouded in controversy. Most experts advise to avoid it because of the amount of pesticides sprayed on it to keep away insects. Moreover the presence of resveratrol in grapes can cause toxicity for the expectant mother
4. Dates
Eating dates during pregnancy is also in controversy. It is said that dates contain components that excite the uterine muscles as well as generate excessive heat in the body. However it is advised to take dates in moderate quantity (1-3/day) during third trimester which can make labour shorter and easier
